About BuildingPlanBDay 64

Building Plan B before I need it.

I am a working dad in Singapore, learning AI by shipping practical products in public. BuildingPlanB is the record of that effort: real tools, real tradeoffs, and product craft rebuilt one release at a time.

No guru funnel, no vague AI hype. Just a public build ledger for staying adaptable in a market where one paycheck can feel less permanent than it used to.

A reminder to stay human, but build with systems: calm, repeatable, and resilient.

Why it started

Hope is not a strategy.

The wake-up call was layoffs moving from news to people around me. As a dad, I cannot leave my family's stability to one company, one role, or one version of myself staying relevant forever.

At first, I framed this around side income. That still matters, but it is no longer the core. Side income, career upside, and attention are outcomes. The real work is becoming the kind of product builder who can keep adapting.

That is why the homepage now talks about building products to hone craft and learn AI through execution. This About page exists to say the same thing plainly: I am not waiting for an emergency to start learning what the next version of me needs.

Operating system

Six products in ninety days.

This is how I am learning now: ship small products, use AI where it creates leverage, and let each release teach a reusable part of the craft. The target keeps me honest without turning the site into a performance scoreboard.

One useful product is live, two are in active build, and three slots stay open until the lessons point there.

  • Small enough to ship after work.
  • Useful enough to test in real life.
  • Documented clearly enough to learn from.
